The wife and I are headed to the Big Apple for a spur of the moment, random getaway.
It all started with this text:
Now look, we aren’t usually this spontaneous.
That’s the thing, I feel like on blogs like this and social media in general, people try to depict themselves as these super cultural world travelers and it’s not always reality.
On the other hand, we’re extremely fortunate to get to do the things we do. Truth.
Don’t get me wrong, I try to travel as often as possible, just not for extended periods of time. I think it’s hugely important to get yourself out of your comfort zone.
So with a baby on the way, and the window for travel in the near future dwindling, we said “fuck it.” We called the in-laws to watch Marshall, packed, and took off.
We really don’t have any plans other than seeing the World Trade Center but I’d like to check out The High Line and Central Park and the wife wants to see Times Square. Other than that, we just want to wander around and check everything out.
I’ll keep y’all updated.
